Where the Rivers Meet

from The Land that Speaks by Rachel Shields

/

about

Rachel Shields went on a walk about and left the lushness of the Rain forest to Live in Alice Springs for 13 cycles of the moon.

Her feeling when she arrived, was that she was standing in the middle of an ocean and that beneath her was a network system of Rivers that were meeting; and flowing into one another.

The words to the Song "Where all the Rivers Meet" arrived when she was sitting up on the hills looking down onto the Landscape, she could see and feel this water system as the words sang through her.

The song in itself reflects that of human activity and engagement, of when we share with one another, our waters meet. This water contains information and feeling, it can be fluid......

the water on our Earth has been here from the beginning of time, we are all connected by it, and it is in each and every one of us....
