Oongalie

about

Oongalie is a word from my Grandmothers language that translates as "come back"

Throughout my life I have experienced potent experiences in relation to my cultural heritage of being a descendant of the first peoples here in Australia.

Over the years I have cultivated a conscious connection to my ancestor along these lines and deepened my awareness to the landscape of which I reside, walk, breathe and drink......

part of this is being in the presence of my family, my mothers people, and through blood, song and landscape; my people.....

We have a story of being an interrupted culture, a stolen and displaced people...... Yet when I sit in presence with the information that swims through my veins, I experience and hear the strength of my connection to my heritage in this way..... in all truth, nothing has been lost, yet an opportunity exist as a side effect of history, for me to initiate my way.........

I know I am supported in being who I am, and I know and understand that I have, as does every human being, thousands of years of experience to support the foundation of my being as a person on this planet............
