Creation Song

from The Land that Speaks by Rachel Shields

/

about

Once upon a day, many years ago, but not so many that one could forget...........

A gentle lady had a visit from the Queen of the Bees ....

This Queen was no bigger than her smallest finger nail.

Queen Bee landed upon the ridge of the ladies nose standing still for a moment facing into her gaze, looking into her eyes.

The gentle ladies heart paused, as her entire body became attentive to the visit of the Queen Bee. She dared not breathe, her mind cautious.... and then..... her heart beat again and warmth calmed her concern.

At this, Queen Bee walked upon the bridge of her nose up to her brow and again, remained still.

She then wandered around repeatedly in a star shape pattern upon the gentle ladies forehead, going back and forth, back and forth.

The Lady entirely relaxed and softened to the presence of the Bee. She enjoyed the feel of the hairy little legs weaving and combing through her eyebrows, gathering moisture from upon her face as if the Queen were upon a flower gathering Golden pollen.....

It seemed much time had passed and the lady wondered how long this Bee would stay for the visit.

Eventually, the Queen stopped her dance and with a silent grace, she lifted off and flew into the horizon.

The gentle lady was in absolute stillness within yet filled with wonder... her heart aglow.

As she dreamed that evening her heart sang the song of the Queen Bee as her Spirit had heard it that day.

She could see the ocean in a drop of rain; all history in a stone upon her hand and she could hear the song of Creation in the Hum of the Bee as it flew by in her memory.....
